BharatBTC Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the BharatBTC Chrome extension handles data.

Data Collection

BharatBTC does not collect personally identifiable information. It retrieves public cryptocurrency market data from third-party APIs to display BTC/INR prices.

Storage

The extension stores the following preferences using Chrome Sync:

• defaultExchange: the selected exchange
• autoUpdateEnabled: whether automatic refresh is enabled
• autoInterval: the selected refresh interval
• portfolioBtc: the optional BTC holding amount entered by the user

These values are used only to restore the user's preferences across Chrome sessions and devices.

Third-Party Services

Price data is retrieved directly from public HTTPS APIs, including WazirX, CoinDCX, and CoinGecko. BharatBTC does not send the user's stored settings, portfolio amount, or other identifying information to these services. These providers may process standard network metadata according to their own privacy policies.

Security

All API requests use HTTPS. The extension does not contain authentication tokens, passwords, or payment credentials.

Data Retention

BharatBTC does not maintain an external account or server-side database. Settings remain in Chrome Sync until the user changes or removes them.
